At Minstead Trust, our mission goes far beyond just providing basic care. We strive to enrich the lives of those with learning disabilities by offering them opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive in a supportive environment.
However, achieving this vision requires more than just dedication—it demands resources. That’s why your contributions through donations, volunteering, or visiting our venues have been vital to improving the lives of over 320 people with learning disabilities. They empower us to create and sustain programs that truly make a difference.
This past year, your support has enabled us to accomplish remarkable milestones. We launched our Bridging programme, opening new doors for individuals transitioning to greater independence. Our Real Jam and Chutney social enterprise project took off, providing new opportunities for those we support to learn valuable skills.
We also expanded our wellbeing programme to include nutrition sessions, emphasising the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Moreover, thanks to you, dozens of people gained invaluable work experience and training, setting them on the path to meaningful employment.
Chris Hillman, Head of Empowering Employment at Minstead Trust said:
‘We’ve had an incredible year with 70% of our participants moving into paid work.
We’ve branched out from our usual fields of hospitality and horticulture into property maintenance, scooter repair and into the legal industry. These achievements wouldn’t have been possible without your generous support.’
Every penny donated has directly impacted the lives of those we support, helping them lead fuller, more rewarding lives.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Your support continues to inspire us to do more, and we look forward to achieving even greater things together in the coming year.
