Plumhall & Craig Joiner

When: 29 Oct 2022

Produced By: Big Ginger Tom Music

Michelle Plum and Nick B Hall are Plumhall, an electrifying duo from Yorkshire whose award winning original songs are earning them well deserved plaudits from the likes of Miles Hunt (The Wonder Stuff), Phil Beer and Steve Knightley (Show of Hands), R2 Magazine and many more. Plumhall pack a punch with powerful acoustic (occasional electric) guitar and luscious harmony-driven textures of original contemporary folk rock.

Plumhall have appeared at The London Palladium with the legendary Al Stewart and they have also written music for and appeared in a major British cinematic release called The Runaways, starring Mark Addy, Tara Fitzgerald & BAFTA winner Mollie Windsor.

Plumhall’s debut album Thundercloud was voted one of The Guardian and Observer’s Hidden Gems. Their second studio album, The Ghost of Noise, was released in Spring 2020 and sonically the it is a departure from their previous record in its use of electronica and found sounds to augment their trademark harmonies and acoustic instrumentation.

Craig Joiner

Craig Joiner has been a professional musician for over 25 years, doing his first ever spot at the Cellar Folk Club in Old Hemel Hempstead when he was about 16. However he turned to the electric guitar and rock after having his mind blown by Rush playing Tom Sawyer on TOTP.

In 1987 his band Romeo’s Daughter were signed to Jive Records and released their debut album a year later. The self- titled album was produced by the legendary Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange (Def Leppard, The Cars, ACDC, Shania Twain).Romeo’s Daughter disbanded in 1994 but reformed again in 2009, they’ve made two more albums and are currently working on another.

Craig has written songs that have been recorded by the likes of Heart, Bonnie Tyler, Eddie Money and Steps. As a session player Craig also has an impressive list of names he has recorded for including Tom Jones, Jane Wiedlin and Peter Collins. He has also had his songs used in major Hollywood movies such as ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’, ‘102 Dalmatians’ and ‘Jack Reacher’, but it took until 2019 for the his first solo album, ‘Art of Landing’ to be released.

In recent years Craig has returned to the Folk Club scene where he has gained an impressive following and where he honed the songs for his long awaited solo debut album. He has kept himself busy during the pandemic recording a second album due out later this year and actually managed to do a real life socially distanced gig supporting Kitty Macfarlane.
