Administrator – New Forest Day Opportunities

Job Type:  Part Time (22.5hrs a week)

Location: Minstead Lodge, New Forest

Salary: £19,012.50 (pro rata) – actual salary £11,407.50

Minstead Trust, a leading learning disabilities charity based in the heart of the New Forest, is offering a fantastic opportunity for an administrator to join its experienced New Forest Day Opportunities Team.

The Trust is over thirty years old and has grown from humble beginnings to become an organisation of over 100 people delivering care to adults with wide-ranging care needs across three counties. We are looking to expand our team.

About the role

You will be a key part of the team ensuring that our service runs efficiently behind the scenes.

Job Description:

  • To provide administrative support to the New Forest Day Opportunities team
  • To undertake general office tasks such as scanning documents, drafting letters, organising meetings etc.
  • Dealing with telephone and email queries in a polite, efficient manner.
  • To produce and maintain Excel spreadsheets as required.
  • To provide logistical support for events
  • Organise and maintain all filing for the office

Experience in office administration and / or care administration is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. You may be required to provide support for people with learning disabilities, we are looking for a warm and caring individual who is comfortable working in care environment and who is able to develop a rapport with their residents.

Applicants must be highly organised, motivated, have good numeracy and literacy skills and be able to work on own initiative but also as part of team. A high level working knowledge of computing skills including using Word and Excel is essential.

You should have knowledge of GDPR and be able to facilitate GDPR compliance through processes, systems and procedures.

All staff working for, or on behalf of Minstead Trust, understand their responsibilities in relation to safeguarding adults at risk and know who to escalate concerns to within Minstead Trust.
