Hours: Casual (Zero Hours) Flexible schedule, regular shifts available including weekdays, evenings and weekends

Location: Furzey Tearooms, Furzey Gardens

Salary: £11.43*per hour *Hourly rate inclusive of 12.07% holiday increment payment

Minstead Trust, a leading learning disabilities charity based in the heart of the beautiful New Forest, is offering the opportunity for a Casual Café Assistant to join its Social Enterprises team based at our exciting café located at Furzey Gardens

The Trust is over thirty years old and has grown from humble beginnings to become an organisation of over 100 people delivering care to adults with wide-ranging care needs across three counties.

About the job:

Our Café Assistants are responsible for delivering excellent customer service, providing a memorable experience to our visitors and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are upheld at all times.

Our café assistants will also be involved in helping to support people with learning disabilities to learn work-based tasks within the café.

Duties include:

• To provide an outstanding service to our customers, serving a range of food and beverages including the use of a barista-style coffee machine
• To be a positive team player, supporting apprentices with learning disabilities in the team to train on-the-job
• To ensure strict food safety and hygiene regulations are followed, promoting a safe working environment
• To support café operations including re-stocking the café and maintaining cleaning standards throughout the venue
• To participate in occasional events within the hospitality function for the Trust typically during the evenings

About you: 

• 1 Year of hospitality experience (Desirable but not essential)
• A high level of reliability
• Great, friendly customer service skills
• A calm, proactive manner
