Location: Minstead Trust – New Forest 

Job Type: Part-time, 15-20 hours per week Monday to Friday

We require someone who is able to work either mornings from 6:30-9:00 or 7:00-9:30 or evenings from 4.00 pm, there is flexibility around the evening pattern. Cleaning will be at Minstead Lodge and there are an additional 6hrs cleaning at Furzey House which is a holiday cottage. This cleaning is required on a Friday.

Salary: £9.75 per hour

Job Description:

As a cleaner you will provide a vital role in maintaining a cleanliness at Minstead Trust. You will carry out general cleaning of all the common areas within Trust and the Day Service.

Previous cleaning experience along with the basic knowledge of COSHH, Health and Safety and cleaning standards would be helpful.

You will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning sanitary areas, furniture, fixtures and fittings at high and low levels
  • Cleaning carpeted areas & hard floors
  • Replenishing soap, paper hand towels and toilet rolls to ensure sufficient supply at all times
  • Ensuring there is enough stocks of cleaning materials/paper products
  • Working to set cleaning schedules
  • Using the cleaning equipment and materials provided for the job
  • Ensuring the building and surrounding areas is clean and tidy
  • Informing people of hazards by using warning signs provided
  • Having a basic knowledge of COSHH, Health and Safety and Cleaning Standards
  • Be flexible, adaptable, caring, understanding and courteous
  • In conjunction with the Trust’s Infection Control Policy to remove all general waste
