Hours: Full time (37.5 hrs over a seven day week)

Location: Central Totton

Salary: £19,012.50 to £19,987.50 (pro rata for part time role – 20 hour contracts available) depending on qualifications and experience

About the job:

Your primary role will be to support service users with their personal, social and health care needs as required. Our staff members make a real difference to individual lives. We support individuals to access a variety of activities from going to the cinema to accessing education at college or engaging in day service opportunities or work based enterprises.

Following guidelines policies and procedures, you will be required to maintain accurate, clear and concise records, support individuals in taking prescribed medication, communicate and engage effectively with all people involved in service users’ lives and contribute to improving the quality of support provided through working with others.

Full training provided.

Duties include:

  • Interacting and communicating with the people you support in a way that promotes dignity and respect.
  • Supporting individuals with everyday tasks from cooking to personal care as required.
  • Working both as part of a team and also lone working with individual service users.
  • Working flexible shifts*

*Our services provide 24/7 support 365 days a year. The role includes working evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep in shifts on a rota pattern. We can only consider people who will commit to working these types of shifts.

About you:

  • We are seeking people who are: responsible, motivated, honest, approachable, good communicators, committed to providing equal opportunities and quality support. In addition, due to our location a driving licence is essential, NVQ 2 Diploma in Health in Social Care desirable.
