Minstead Trust, a leading learning disabilities charity based in the heart of the beautiful New Forest, is offering the opportunity for a support worker to join its Team.
The Trust is over thirty years old and has grown from humble beginnings to become an organisation of over 100 people delivering care to adults with wide-ranging care needs across three counties.
The primary role will be to plan, deliver and develop outcome based practical and creative activities to groups of adults with learning disabilities. Planned programmes will include activities based on health, well-being and independence, providing the foundation for increasing service users’ skills and knowledge.
In addition, the role supports service users with their personal, social and health care needs as required whilst enabling them to engage in sessions, discover and develop skills, abilities and interests, make local community connections and achieve greater independence and fulfilment.
We are seeking people who are: responsible, motivated, honest, approachable, good communicators, committed to providing equal opportunities and quality support. In addition, due to our location a driving licence is essential. A Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social care is also desirable.
All staff working for, or on behalf of Minstead Trust, understand their responsibilities in relation to safeguarding adults at risk and know who to escalate concerns to within Minstead Trust.
