Your support and encouragement could help people we support participate in active, healthy and enjoyable activities.

Our Day Opportunities Centre in Southsea, Portsmouth provides opportunities for people with learning disabilities to access and experience activities which not only focus on improved health and wellbeing, but encourage confidence and help to develop valuable life skills.

We run a busy timetable of activity sessions – including healthy eating and cookery, fitness and yoga, music and dance, gardening, crafts and communication.

We always welcome an extra pair of hands to help support our dedicated staff and by volunteering with us you will become part of a friendly and supportive team, whilst also meeting new people and having fun!

Session Support Volunteer

Are you friendly, kind and approachable? This role requires someone who really enjoys engaging with people and has good communication and interpersonal skills. It would ideally suit someone who is enthusiastic and motivational, yet has the ability to recognise those moments which require patience and calm. As part of a small and happy team, reliability and the confidence to use your own initiative is essential, as is the ability to follow instruction when necessary.
