HOURS:       Full Time (37.5 hrs per week)

SALARY:     £20,000  -  £23,000  dependent on qualifications and experience

Minstead Trust is an established charity supporting adults with varying levels of learning disabilities to access and engage in meaningful opportunities that develop outcome based skills focused on health and independence. 

Job Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our dedicated residential team at Minstead Lodge.  The home, currently rated ‘Outstanding’ by CQC, supports Adults with Learning Disabilities in the idyllic New Forest village of Minstead just 5 minutes from J1 of the M27 motorway.

You will be assisting the Home Manager in the day to day operations of the service, deputising as directed in their absence and responsible for the direct supervision and line management of support staff.  Ideally you will have strong leadership skills, be motivated, approachable, committed to ensuring responsive and effective care is delivered to our residents and leading by example demonstrate good team work and best practice.

The post requires the successful candidate to work flexible hours over a seven day rostered period.  This may include providing direct support to individuals so that the overall quality of service delivery can be assessed and overseen on a day to day basis to optimise quality outcomes for those we support.  The successful candidate will also be expected to partake in an ‘on-call’ rota and ‘sleep in duty’ as required.

 The ideal candidate will possess: 

  • Proven Track Record of Team Leading/Management within either Supported Living or Residential Services
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent (and working towards L4/5)
  • Excellent Knowledge of CQC Standards
  • Strong IT skills
  • Extensive Background working with adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Behaviours that Challenge (minimum experience of 5 years in Care)
  • Full UK Drivers Licence and use of own car for work
