Furzey Gardens remains closed

Following the Government announcement that people can travel where they like within a day, we wanted to update you on what we are doing at Furzey Gardens.

Whilst we are looking forward to having visitors back to the Gardens as soon as we are able to do so, the gardens remain closed to the public.  The timing of any re-opening of the Gardens will be led by Government guidance and for the time being, it is not possible for us to open these up. The ongoing closure currently includes our tea rooms and small plant sales area.

We need your help to reopen Furzey Gardens, please support us with our considerable reopening costs by donating here.

Over the past few weeks, we have been working on detailed plans to safely re-open Furzey Gardens. As you know, we provide training and support for people with learning disabilities, and the safety of the people we support, our staff, volunteers and visitors remains paramount.

When we do open, entrance will be by pre-purchased tickets (on our usual suggested donation basis) with staggered arrival times.  Members will also be asked to pre-book their arrival through our website so that we are able to manage the number of visitors safely and apply social distancing once in the Gardens.

The car park, which is not part of the Gardens, will have limited spaces for cars to park to help those who have bought tickets remain socially distant on arrival.

We will also be introducing a new, temporary entrance, and putting in place one way routes at key pinch points around the garden to help our visitors comply with social distancing.

This has been a very tough time for all of us at Furzey Gardens and we want to thank you for your continued support.
