Fairy Tales with Mike O’Leary

Enjoy tales of magic and adventure as we welcome storyteller Mike O’Leary to the gardens.

Mike is very interactive, and all the stories he tells are true, except for the ones that aren’t. There will certainly be fairies (or “fairisies”, as they used to be called in Hampshire).

There may well also be dragons, mermaids, giants, shape-shifters, or even Jenny Greeteeth – who knows?

His stories are based in the landscape of the New Forest and Hampshire generally.

He is experienced in working with people of all ages from little ones to elders, and he has a fondness for helping stories along with a bit of music – traditional stories and music were never separate.

Oh, and he doesn’t take himself too seriously!
