Furzey Gardens in Minstead is hosting 29 nights of outdoor theatre across the summer, ranging from quirky interpretations of Shakespeare to humorous family shows. Guests can purchase refreshments at the thatched tea rooms and enjoy an idyllic evening in a tranquil New Forest setting.
Tickets are now on sale priced from £14 for the performances, which include:
Lilies on the Land is based on 150 letters and interviews with original Land Girls, along with songs from the period, and is a revealing, funny and wonderfully moving portrait of some of Britain’s pluckiest unsung heroes.
Set in 1984, John Godber’s classic comic drama, Bouncers, tells the story of a Northern nightclub and the colourful characters that inhabit its dance floor.
The Three Musketeers is an hilarious show for all ages from Morgan and West. A fun for all the family retelling of Alexandre Dumas’ classic tale.
The Comedy of Errors sees west end actors the London Touring Company return to Furzey after a sell-out run last year. Shakespeare’s madcap comedy sees two pairs of identical twins inadvertently make forty cases of mistaken identity, driving the characters to distraction and the audience to tears of laughter.
Furzey Gardens is run by local charity Minstead Trust and provides training and work experience for people with learning disabilities. Ticket income will help the charity to continue its important work supporting vulnerable people.
The summer performance season is supported by Harvest Fine Foods.
