Deputy Manager – Day and Community Opportunities

Minstead, Near Lyndhurst, New Forest.

£28,000 to £30,000 DOE

 37.5 hours per week

 Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 4:30pm

As Deputy Manager at New Forest Day Opportunities (NFDO), you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our service; ensuring those we support thrive in a welcoming, inclusive, and empowering environment.

The role:

  • Support the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Manage daily timetabling and attendance, ensuring individuals receive appropriate support.
  • Support the service to maintain high standards to ensure delivery fulfils and complies with guidance, organisational policies, health and safety and contractual requirements.
  • Manage operational challenges such as staff absences or activity disruptions as required.
  • Support in recruiting, developing, coaching, and managing staff and volunteers.
  • Work collaboratively with other services and departments to support the development of best practice and growth within the Trust.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within Health and Social Care Sector and/or working with Neuro-diverse Disabilities
  • Hold related qualification(s) e.g. L3 Diploma in Health & Social Care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, compliance, and best practices in care settings.
