Daniel’s Story: Growing confidence through new opportunities

‘Through the Empowering Employment Programme, I used to work at Lily & Lime and undertook a paid apprenticeship which I completed and passed with a distinction! I was very pleased about that. After this, I wanted to remain at the Trust, but try something new, and was offered a volunteer admin assistant role at Warren Avenue, our Day Opportunities Centre in Portsmouth.

‘I’m very happy in my new role and I’m learning so many new skills. I am also able to take the bus to and from the centre on my own. This has definitely improved my confidence and I can’t wait to learn more skills!’
