Salary: £38,000 – £43,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and values-led Day Opportunities Manager to lead our established Warren Avenue service in Portsmouth. Supporting more than 100 individuals, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of a thriving service, influence strategic development, and make a lasting impact on the lives of the people we support.
As Day Opportunities Manager, you will provide inspirational leadership to a dedicated team, champion co-production and innovation, and ensure every individual has access to meaningful opportunities that reflect their ambitions, strengths and interests.
This role is ideal for a confident leader who is committed to delivering outstanding outcomes, developing high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement across services.
Key responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Lead the delivery of Minstead Trust’s long-term strategic vision within Portsmouth Day Opportunities
- Drive a culture of co-production, ensuring people we support shape the design, delivery and evaluation of services
- Promote genuinely person-centred approaches that place individual goals and aspirations at the heart of support planning
- Identify opportunities for growth, innovation and service enhancement in line with organisational priorities.
Operational Management
- Provide effective leadership and oversight of a large and diverse day opportunities service
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, organisational policies and quality standards
- Maintain robust risk management, safeguarding, and health and safety practices
- Monitor performance, analyse data and implement improvements that enhance outcomes and service quality
- Ensure resources are managed effectively to deliver both high-quality support and operational sustainability.
People Leadership
- Inspire, motivate, and develop multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional support
- Create a positive, accountable and high-performing culture aligned with Minstead Trust’s values
- Provide coaching, supervision and performance management to support individual and team success
- Lead workforce planning, talent development and succession planning initiatives.
Community and Partnership Working
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, families, carers, local authorities and community stakeholders
- Create opportunities that promote employment, volunteering, learning and social inclusion
- Represent Minstead Trust within local networks and partnerships, strengthening our presence and impact across the community.
Service Development and Innovation
- Lead and contribute to improvement projects that enhance experiences and outcomes for people we support
- Explore innovative approaches to service delivery that increase choice, independence and community engagement
- Support organisational change initiatives and contribute to the future development of Day Opportunities across the Trust.

We’re looking for an experienced Facilities & Asset Manager to lead the management of our estate, facilities, health and safety systems and maintenance services, ensuring our environments remain safe, compliant, sustainable and fit for the future
About you:
We are looking for an inspiring and proactive leader who brings both operational expertise and a genuine passion for improving lives.
You will have:
- Significant leadership experience within social care, supported living, day opportunities or community-based services
- A strong understanding of person-centred approaches, co-production and strengths-based practice
- Experience leading teams through growth, change and service transformation
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, quality assurance and risk management
- A track record of delivering positive outcomes and continuous service improvement
- A values-driven approach that aligns with Minstead Trust’s mission and culture
- A genuine commitment to creating opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autism to thrive.
