Adopt an animal in ‘The Haven’ and make a real difference
The last day to order your animal sponsorship in time for Christmas is midday on Monday 22 December. Any adoptions purchased after this time will be sent in the new year.
Please note that all adoption certificates and animal updates are sent digitally by email, we are no longer able to send these in the post.
From rabbits and pigs to goats, donkeys, and tortoises, your support helps care for the animals at ‘The Haven’. People with learning disabilities feed, exercise, and care for the animals all year round, gaining confidence, skills, and a sense of purpose.
Your support covers the considerable cost of caring for the animals and ensures they remain healthy and happy. Adopting an animal is a thoughtful gift that not only delights the recipient but also supports vulnerable people to lead fuller, happier lives.

For a suggested donation of £40 a year, you can adopt one of our animal friends – or, if you’d like to support a whole family of four animals, the suggested donation is £100 for the year.
Caring for the animals helps the people we support build confidence, skills and independence. By choosing to adopt, you’re supporting both the animals and the people who nurture them. Thank you.
You can also give an adoption as a gift. With a suggested donation of £40 a year, you can delight an animal lover while helping people with learning disabilities care for our animals.
Your digital adoption includes:
- Digital welcome pack – a personalised certificate and fact sheet about your animal
- Behind-the-scenes updates – two sponsor emails per year with news about the animals and life at The Haven
- Two visits a year – you will be invited to see the animals and talk to their keepers at our twice yearly open days
- Digital ‘Friends of the herd’ webpage – your name displayed as part of your animal’s ‘family’ on our adopters page
