Support Worker – BCP
Location: Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
Salary: £13,260 per annum
Hours: 20 hours per week – every Sunday 9am-6pm. Other hours negotiable for the week including 9am-2pm shifts.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and dedicated Housing Related and Community Support team across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

What you’ll be doing:
As a Support Worker, you’ll provide person-centred support to individuals within their local community, helping them to achieve positive outcomes and maintain their independence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting individuals to achieve their goals relating to health, wellbeing and independence
- Providing practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs
- Working independently and as part of a wider team
- Delivering one-to-one support within community settings
- Acting as a Key Worker for allocated individuals
- Supporting people with daily living activities and meaningful activities of their choice
- Adapting your communication and support approach to promote dignity, choice and respect
- Supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge
- Maintaining accurate records and reports.

About you:

- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, complex needs, and behaviours that challenge
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- A calm and positive approach when faced with challenges
- Confidence working independently and managing your own workload
- A genuine desire to develop your career within social care
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes (essential).
