The aim is to raise vital funds to support people with learning disabilities to live a more independent and fulfilling life.
This event is taking place on 11 July at University of Southampton, Wide Lane, Eastleigh from 9am.
Participants are invited to take on an inflatable course featuring a series of obstacles designed to test balance stamina and teamwork. The event offers a light-hearted and inclusive way for individuals, families and groups to get active while supporting a local charity.
Funds raised from the event will go towards Minstead’s Trust’s work providing supported living, teaching life skills and employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities. These services help individuals build confidence, develop skills and play an active role in their communities while becoming more independent.
Lesley Brooks, Supporter Relations and Legacy Champion at Minstead Trust, said: ‘We welcome anybody to join us and take on the inflatable challenge with family and friends. You’ll be sure to have a great time while knowing you are making a real difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities. You will make a big difference, have a great time and finish with a wonderful sense of achievement.’
The inflatable 5k is open to individuals, friends, families, corporate teams and community groups. The minimum amount you will need to fundraise is £150 and it is just £15 to sign up with the Trust’s charity discount.
