Senior Support Worker Full-Time 37.5 hours per week

Flexible shifts over a 24/7 week, 365 days a year (Incl. weekends, bank holidays and sleep in shifts on a rota basis)

Salary – £25,350 Rising to £26,812 after 6 months

The Role:

  • Senior Support worker duties include on rota support for individuals with personal, social and health care needs as well as encouraging and enabling individuals to access and engage in day opportunity services, work experience, employment, education & community opportunities.
  • To supervise a team, promoting a team approach, whilst providing direction and guidance to staff and volunteers.
  • Taking responsibility for a particular administrative area e.g. medication, service audits, petty cash etc.
  • Assisting the Team Manager in implementing and enforcing necessary policies and procedures.
  • To enable, coach, and contribute to the training and inducting of Support Staff to develop skills and knowledge that support high quality care and support delivery.
  • Participation in the on-call rota is a feature of the role, as is the occasional requirement to deputise for the Team Manager in the event of their absence.

What are we looking for?

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who is passionate about pushing for change to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity within todays society.
  • Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge is essential.
  • As a Senior Support Worker a Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social care is desirable.
  • A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential (in-work travel paid).
