Elizabeth and Kevin are engaged, and live together in Poole supported living, where Minstead Trust has recently expanded.
Elizabeth and Kevin both struggled with their weight for a long time, but since joining Slimming World and having the extra support networks available from Minstead Trust, they are both living healthier and happier lives.
Kevin has experienced a lot of anxiety, but he and Elizabeth support each other through cooking together, and encouraging healthier choices.
Elizabeth has lost four and a half stone, and Kevin won ‘Man of the Year 2023’, and ‘Mr Sleek Award!’ They are both very proud of their achievements.
They follow new recipes from the Slimming World, once cooking 35 meals without repetition!
Kevin and Elizabeth show that with the right support and opportunities people with learning disabilities can understand and reach their goals.
They can live their life, their way.
