Trust links with local businesses offering lockdown discounts

Minstead Trust has become the first charity affiliate of a pioneering discount card, to support local businesses struggling during the coronavirus crisis.

The Trust has affiliated with My VIP Card: an award winning Hampshire business offering more than 4,000 discounts with business across the south of England and nationwide.

The link up will encourage the charity’s supporters to shop locally during the lockdown, with many businesses offering delivery services on products from food and drink to flowers and gifts.

Local offers available across Hampshire include 10% discount on:

• Eco refills and store cupboard supplies with Ecological Footprints
• Dog walking with Nathans Paw Trails
• Craft beers , ciders and gins from The Bottle Top
• Educational children’s toys with Teddo Play.

There are also thousands of cashback offers when shopping online, and discounted vouchers you can use in store for your favourite supermarkets.

Minstead Trust receives £2 for every My VIP Card purchased.

This will help the Trust to continue its work to support over 200 people with learning disabilities to live more independent and fulfilled lives.The coronavirus outbreak has made the charity’s support work increasingly difficult and put its finances under enormous strain. However its supporters have rallied round to raise more than £70,000 to support the Trust to continue.

Now, Minstead Trust is looking to support its local business community and give something back to its supporters through schemes like the My VIP Card.
