You can make a huge difference to our future.

A gift of any size in your will for Minstead Trust can make a difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities.

Gifts in wills are an important part of how Minstead Trust is funded and you can support us this way too. When you make or amend your will, as well as providing for your loved ones, you can also choose to help causes that you love like the Trust.

Your gift will be a future legacy to help the people we support now and in the future to live independent lives and have the help they need to achieve their potential.

James’s story

Hear from James, who has pledged a gift in his Will to Minstead Trust, not just because he has a daughter supported by the Trust, but because he wants to help people with learning disabilities to be part of society in a meaningful way.

Here are some of the ways you can leave a gift in your Will:

Free online Will (Start here)

To help our supporters remember us we work with Make a Will Online. They provide solicitor-checked simple wills for our supporters here. Each of their wills is checked by a qualified solicitor. If you have more complex legal needs a simple will may not be suitable for you.

If you have complex legal needs or a large or complicated estate e.g. trust income, property overseas, or dependent relatives, you should speak to a specialist solicitor. If you are on strong medication or have concerns around your mental capacity, you should discuss with a solicitor face-to-face. If your estate will be subject to inheritance tax (see here), you should also speak to a solicitor.

See a solicitor in person or remotely

If you have an existing relationship with a solicitor please contact them to ask for your Will to be updated to include a gift to us.

You can search for a solicitor on the Solicitors Regulation Authority website here.  Or here are a few local firms that may be able to help you:
