Make a difference to people with learning disabilities by volunteering with our New Forest Day Opportunities providing support and encouragement to develop skills for life.

Come and assist one of our skilled instructors in the beautiful setting of Minstead Lodge, focussing on areas such as horticulture, animal care, woodwork and arts and crafts.

Alternatively, why not become a volunteer buddy and enable someone we support to access more activities within the local community; encouraging them to meet new people and to do more of the things they enjoy.

All of our activities are designed to promote and improve health and wellbeing and encourage greater independence. We are a small and happy team and by joining us you can make a huge difference to someone’s life.

Session Support Volunteer

Friendly, kind and approachable, this support role requires someone who really enjoys engaging with people and has good communication and interpersonal skills. It would ideally suit someone who is enthusiastic and motivational, yet has the ability to recognise those moments which require patience and calm.

We always welcome an extra pair of hands to help support our dedicated staff run a busy timetable of activity sessions. With your time and encouragement, you could help the people we support to actively participate in these activities and to develop their skills, whilst having fun and meeting new people.
